KEY STRENGTHS
Girthy, flex ear hybrid with a nice fall appearance! Strong-yielding product with very good stalks and roots. Good husk flare to enhance grain drydown in the fall. Strong emergence and early vigor.
WEAKNESSES
Average tar spot and Goss’s tolerance.
POSITIONING
It’s the classic story of a high-yielding new male parent crossed with a rock solid and dependable female. You get strong roots and stalks plus a girthy ear with kernel depth and yield! This hybrid really responds to good fertility as well as a foliar fungicide application around tassel time or at least a Xyway application at planting. We saw great intactness at harvest and a plant that could hang on longer than others into the fall. It doesn’t like wet feet, though, so avoid poorly drained fields.
