VRAFY is the fertility management platform with a simple objective…
TO MAKE PRECISION AGRONOMY SIMPLE.
Much more than just another ag platform, VRAFY is a service designed to help you collect and take advantage of your on-farm data like never before, with the goal of making sure you get the most efficient use of every dollar you spend on fertility.
Every farm works differently. Variables like available equipment, fertilizer sources, soil types, market conditions, and more all go into determining input strategies. Whether you’re using liquid, dry, or manure sources; have highly variable ground; hire the co-op to apply or make all applications yourself; and no matter what color equipment you run, VRAFY is built around the understanding that better fertility efficiency is possible for anyone.
As VRAFY continues to be used on more and more acres, farmers across the country continue to praise how easy it is to use, with many using the platform to bring uniformity to their acres while providing their crops and their ground with exactly the inputs needed to reach their yield goals.
BELOW LISTS SOME EXAMPLES OF HOW VRAFY HAS MADE A DIFFERENCE FOR FARMERS.

This was my third season with VRAFY. The majority of my equipment is green, but I have some red tractors that use green guidance and GPS. It’s kind of a mixed fleet, and it’s all run through John Deere Ops Center.
VARIABLE RATE IS THE BIGGEST THING I USE VRAFY FOR – LOOKING AT YIELD DATA, IMAGERY, COMBINING MY SOIL DATA, AND CREATING MY PRESCRIPTIONS.
Looking at the variability across all my fields, I was just asking myself, why are we using blanket fertilizer rates across the whole field and hoping for the same result? VRAFY was a huge part in helping me get my grid samples and data all into one platform.
MY NUMBER ONE GOAL IS I JUST WANT TO OPEN MY FIELDS.
Yield maps are 17 different kinds of smoke. I just want all one color. I want to get all my fields as uniform as I can get them, and now we’re putting the fertilizer where it needs to go, where it’s going to be the most beneficial, and we’re starting to see more uniform yields across entire fields.
For example, where we are in Idaho, we are blessed with phosphorus in our soils, but knowing where it is in the fields and what we have in the bank, it has saved us a tremendous amount of money. To go out and blanket a whole entire field with some of the rates you get recommended, it’s impossible to do right now.
Before VRAFY, I would build maps with spreadsheets referencing the data I had on Ops Center. It worked okay, but between software glitches and no one to reach out to for assistance, it was tough to keep it up by myself. Once I got set up with VRAFY, I never looked back.
With everything you want to do, these guys can help you do it. It’s a one-stop shop. Don’t be afraid to call and look into it. VRAFY is one of the better ones you can get out there, and the support is top-notch. Anytime I’ve had any problems, I swear I’ve had an answer in no time. It wasn’t, ‘We’ll get back to you,’ and it falls in the cracks. Usually, I have an answer by the end of the day.

TARGETED SCOUTING
TARGETED SCOUTING
We started using VRAFY last year. I talked to a few guys at VRAFY, started a few acres, and it actually does everything anybody’s ever looked for.
With VRAFY there’s unlimited data and stuff you can use if you just use it. The Soil Point to Yield data, it’s pretty sweet. I learned that where the soil tests showed my levels were highest is where I was producing the least. At first, it was hard to understand, but after I looked at it more, I could see the trend data and look at what’s producing good and what isn’t. It really shows the yield potential and the variability in the soil.
I don’t like looking at the map and seeing red, green, blue, black – I want to look at the printout and see I have a pH of 6.6 from sample 1 all the way through to 20. That’s my end goal, to be able to look at a soil test and have it where every part of the field has the potential to produce the same because the limiting factor is no longer the soil. For years, we put a flat rate of 250 and 250 of potash and DAP, and our P levels in our soils are really high because we applied for 20 years and only used half of it. It’ll save me money on phosphorus, especially this year, trying to balance out the soil better. We also have potash and calcium deficiencies, and I’m trying to balance zinc and phosphorus out a little bit, too.
I’ll take soil tests and the yield data and match with the soil test to find the optimum levels in the soil where the crop is doing the best and compare it to where yields are lower. Then, you can pull a rec out of VRAFY. With VRAFY, you can take that removal plus build, and once you put that in there, the money you can save by doing that – I’m trying to ease into it and see where I can save money here and there; but as far as I can see, VRAFY is paying for itself in no time.
I think if farmers try it out and play with it, I think it’s what a lot of farmers are looking for. I think if a farmer could implement it, they maybe won’t save money with it, but they will make money with it. And VRAFY’s support is as good as gold. They’re awesome. Anything I ask, they try to compensate.
