KEY STRENGTHS
Taller hybrid with good Goss’s Wilt tolerance and very good drydown. Tough product with drought tolerance. Overall yield and disease protection is great, allowing southern movement.

WEAKNESSES
Staygreen is average, so don’t leave this in the field over the winter.

POSITIONING
Pretty close to the complete package with solid defense, drought tolerance, good test weight and drydown, and the best yields at this maturity. Plant this variety in low, medium, and high yield environments. We’ve seen nice gains adding naturals shown to enhance stress tolerance like WeatherKing and/or Heat Shield.

AGRONOMIC & DISEASE RATINGS

H2512 Agronomic Chart

The higher the number, the better the performance or rating.

I was tired of using Pioneer and thought I would try some Hefty Corn. Hefty 2512 was out of the ground faster and grew taller than my Pioneer Corn.

Josh, Bisbee, ND

I was amazed by how fast this Hefty 2512 seed pops up out of the ground!

Kim, Northwest Minnesota

I plant corn for Habitat for Hunting. My ground is really tough due to flooding it each year. I switched to Hefty Corn because of how well it handles tough, dry soil.

Mike, Othellow, WA

I planted Hefty 2512 and Hefty 2602 with some DeKalb and I was impressed how the Hefty corn was out of the ground faster than the DeKalb.
